WELCOME TO UK YOUTH PARLIAMENT

Members of Youth Parliament work to give young people a voice – listening to marginalised groups, organising events, making films, meeting MPs, lobbying for change, organising campaigns and appearing in the media, all to amplify the views of young people by young people. These views are expressed in the House of Commons and through campaigns for change and are represented in the UK Youth Parliament manifesto. This contains statements on issues Members of Youth Parliament see as the most important to young people.

Youth Parliament's Make Your Mark gives a unique opportunity to reach out to young people who go on to be the opinion formers and leaders of the future.

434,494 young people cast their vote on the biggest and most challenging issues facing this country in 2022, such as mental health, employment, education and climate change.

The next round of Make Your Mark voting will take place between 29th January and 8th March 2024. Registration opens on 1st November. This project is powered by the British Youth Council; made possible with support from the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport.
