Key Priorities as at October 2023

These are priorities identified to October 2023. These are still evolving so please have a look and let us know the things about our ward that you either:

A. Want to preserve - what do you like now and don't want to lose?

B. Want to change - what facilities do we have already that you think could be improved?

C. Want to have happen here in future - what do we need/want in the ward that we don't already have?

Housing & Development

1. Preservation of the existing green spaces within the ward and ensuring that the current green/agricultural land to south and west of ward not be considered for development in order to retain a separation area from the villages of East Farndon and Lubenham.

2. Consider alternative uses for development of the area of land between Farndale View, Rugby Close and the Farndon Fields estate. Possible alternative uses could be:

- Extension of AdamSmile footpath/cycleway to the end of Rugby Close and linkage to Farndon Fields estate.

- Making land available for self-build or community build projects, perhaps including single storey buildings

- Ensuring that any development includes environmentally friendly features such as solar panels, bike storage, electric car charging points etc.

- Consider using part of the land for environmental projects such as a wildlife area, wildflower area; community garden; etc. Such projects should preserve community access to this land

3. Seek the adoption of roads and sewers for all developments with more than five dwellings in a timely manner.
