Leicestershire County Council are currently consulting on their Local Flood Risk Management Strategy. The County Council is very interested in the views of Parish Councils, Neighbourhood Planning groups and the community, particularly as working with communities is one of five Strategy principles, which is followed across all actions to manage local flood risk. The encouraging sustainable development objective recognises the importance of neighbourhood planning. A measure is included for organisations to support the development and review of local planning policy affecting local flood risk management, including neighbourhood plans.
