What's It All About?
Recent improvements to the canal towpath in Market Harborough have been very well received by users from across the town. This new Adoption Group, which is being set up by the Logan and Town Centre Neighbourhood Forum, will help to ensure that it remains a beautiful and safe place for walkers, runners, cyclists and dog walkers alike.
What's Involved?
Regular working groups will help the Canal & River Trust achieve this by carrying out such tasks as cutting back vegetation from the towpath, trimming overhanging branches, litter picking, sowing grass and flower seeds, and cleaning signage.
Who Can Help?
Anyone can volunteer to help with the Adoption Group. You don't have to be a member of the Logan and Town Centre Neighbourhood Forum, or live in the Logan area. You don't have to commit to being a regular volunteer, just come along when you can. Children will be welcome, but must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
How Do I Get Involved?
Volunteers will need to complete a registration form which will be available on this web page soon. We will then contact you whenever we have a working group session planned, and you can come along on the day if you are able.
