The Friendly Connected Communities (FCC) Event took place on 12th November 2024 and was organised in partnership between Marlene Reid Centre (MRC) Coalville, and the Council LCC. We introduced the Friendly Connected Communities approach to a variety of organisations, whilst Paul Fagan shared a real-life example of the FCC approach is action at the Marlene Reid Centre. This was a great platform to network for local organisations to share their strengths, explore the benefits of the approach and also get a tour of the MRC.
The event was split into several parts:
A tour of the Marlene Reid Centre to highlight the work they do and how they do it highlighting how the FCC approach has supported this
A short set of presentations
1.The FCC Approach and what this means
2. Marlene Reid Centre and their practical application of the approach
A facilitated workshop including a networking session where organisations could explore working together in a friendly connected way to achieve goals and aspirations
